After our first successful convoy, Human Care Foundation Worldwide has teamed up with Syria Relief, Mosaic Initiative, Lifeline Help, Libyan Human Aid, Khayr and Humanitarian Group for Syria to send another Aid Convoy to Syria on the 30th of October 2012.

A convoy of 8 ambulances and 3 vans with Blankets, new winter clothes, Medical equipment, 2 dental chairs, 6 highly skilled British physiotherapists and 7 doctors to provide medical care and treatment courses as well as other necessities to keep displaced and needy families surviving and warm in the cold winter.

The Humanitarian Situation

According to United Nations figures over 4 million people have been directly affected by the on-going conflict in Syria. People have been detained, injured, paralyzed and killed and as a result many families have lost their principle breadwinner.

The UN has identified Syria as a disaster zone and conditions there are continuing to deteriorate quickly. Internally displaced persons (IDPs) are suffering from poor health conditions, scarcity of food and water as well as lack of security. Women and children have been the hardest hit by the on-going crisis. In order to alleviate their suffering, we have been sponsoring feeding programmes to fight malnutrition, preventing countless health problems and saving lives.

Food Parcels

Due to the on-going crisis in Syria, tens of thousands of families have been denied access to the most basic of rights: the right to food.

In any crisis, market prices soar and this means that many families can no longer afford to buy food. Hundreds of thousands of families have also had to flee their homes in search of safety in a brutalised country.

HCFW is addressing this problem by working across Syria to deliver food baskets in order to restore a level of stability to these families' lives.
